Sound Familiar?

The doubts that keep founders up at night

About themselves, and about the people they're building with.

You keep clashing with your co-founder on hiring — and you can't tell if it's style or values.

You're not sure a new partner has the talents to balance yours: you're both builders, and nobody wants to sell.

Six months in, you still can't agree on who owns what — and the equity is already split 50/50.

Solo, and months from running out. Find a co-founder or hire? You genuinely can't tell what you're missing.

You took the personality test together and learned nothing actionable. Same three arguments, still.

What you get

Four tools — for yourself, your partner, your team

Each maps to a tool in the product. Use what fits your stage.

  1. 01

A precision talent profile per founder

180 talents, calculated not self-reported, same answer every time. Your strengths, your blind spots — the raw material for designing a venture around what you're actually built for.

  2. 02

AI Comparison for the pair check

Share a consent code with your potential co-founder and compare both profiles side-by-side. The business-partners angle is built exactly for this — complementarity, role coverage, friction surfaces.

  3. 03

Synergy Calculator for the early team

Scales up to seven people. For a founding team of three or four, see who covers which surface, where you have triple-overlap, and where there's a structural gap nobody fills.

  4. 04

AI Mentor for building from your strengths

Ask which kind of business model fits your strongest talents, what to delegate first, and what a complementary partner looks like — answers grounded in your specific profile.

AI Comparison — the pair check

Two profiles side-by-side, before you split equity

Share a consent code with your potential partner. A visual chart layers both profiles across all 180 talents, and an AI report explains where you align, where you collide, and how to make the partnership work.

180
talents, side by side

Both profiles layered on one chart. The AI narrative walks through alignment, friction surfaces, and complementarity.

AI
narrative report + follow-up

A written breakdown of alignment and friction — and the AI Mentor to take any thread of it deeper, question by question.

100+
curated public figures

The business-partners angle

What the pair check actually gives you

Complementarity map

Which of the 180 talents each of you brings that the other lacks — and where you double up on the same strength while a whole surface stays uncovered.

Role coverage

Who is naturally built for which side of the venture — product, operations, sales, strategy — based on each founder's strongest talent clusters.

Friction surfaces

Where your profiles point to likely day-to-day disagreement — decision speed, risk appetite, need for structure — so you can design around it instead of discovering it under load.

An AI narrative report

A written breakdown of alignment, friction, and concrete discussion points — the agenda for the equity conversation you should have before signing.

Want to go deeper on any thread? The AI Mentor — pre-loaded with your own profile — can unpack the comparison with you, question by question. Each comparison and follow-up uses one AI request.

Both founders run their own profiles and share consent codes. Either side can revoke at any time. Each comparison consumes one AI request.

Team synergy

One score for the whole founding team

Add your co-founder, then the first hires — up to seven people. The Synergy Calculator weighs every pair of talents across the team: all 180 talents, 16,000 possible pairings, each significant pair with its own multiplier.

Team member Synergy Talents 90+ 70–90 50–70
Founder A 44.80 52 7 19 26
Founder B 39.60 47 5 16 26
First hire 31.20 40 3 12 25
Team 52.70 91 of 180 9 27 55

Illustrative numbers in the app's real Team Synergy format. Overall team score on a 0–100+ scale; talent tiers: 90+ extraordinary, 70–90 outstanding, 50–70 strong.

Completeness & Harmony

The app's mandala view of the founding team: 16 petals — one per talent category — with each of the 180 talents a cell. Coloured cells are talents your team covers; grey cells are the gaps. A team of three covers less of the map — which is exactly the point of looking.

91 of 180 talents covered by this team

  • Covered by the team
  • Gap — nobody covers it

Illustrative coverage. Your team's real mandala is built from consented profiles.

Team synergy score

A single number on a 0–100+ scale for the active team — recalculated as you toggle members on and off.

Completeness against 180

How many of the 180 talents the team covers at strength — and which categories hold the gaps nobody fills.

Synergy pairs, explained

Every significant talent pair on the team, sorted highest to lowest, with advice for putting it to work — the strongest pairs are flagged as super-synergy.

Per-member tiers

For each member: how many talents land at 90+, 70–90, and 50–70 — the same tiers the app uses everywhere.

Each member runs their own profile and shares an access code. The team view is built only from consented profiles.

How it works

From birth data to a founder pair check

Three steps. Most founder pairs have their comparison within a day of starting.

  1. Each founder enters birth data

Date, time, and place of birth — about five minutes. Plus a life-context questionnaire: 8 core questions and 25 optional, essay-style. The optional part can be completed any time later.

  2. 180 talents + an AI profile per founder

Deterministic 180-talent calculation — same input, same output. Then an AI-generated profile describing each founder's potential and the role types that fit them best.

  3. Compare the pair, then map the team

Run AI Comparison on the business-partners angle via consent code. Adding more people? The Synergy Calculator scores the whole team — up to seven.

Should I pivot or persist?

Should we hire a CTO or a CRO first?

How do my co-founder and I make decisions when we disagree?

I am a solo founder — should I find a partner or hire?

What am I missing on my founding team of three?

How do I delegate when I do not trust the work yet?

Research validation

Validated against documented biographies of 269 public figures

Independent biographers ranked all 180 talents for 269 well-documented public figures. Innate Q's computed profile aligned with their ranking at a level within the range commonly seen for peer-rated and supervisor-rated personality instruments.

269
Public figures sampled

Each ranked across all 180 talents by independent biographer agents grounded strictly in published biographical literature.

r ≈ 0.46
Construct validity (adaptive)

Within the range commonly seen for peer-rated and supervisor-rated personality instruments in academic literature. Higher than self-IQ ↔ measured IQ (~0.35).

82.5%
Per-figure wins vs random

Innate Q's profile beat three random baselines per person. t = +17.04, p < 10⁻⁴⁰.

r = 1.00
Test-retest reliability

Deterministic by construction. The profile doesn't drift between Tuesday and Friday like a self-report instrument.

How we compare

Next to the things founders already try

Three categories of tool founders usually reach for, and the gap Innate Q closes. No named brands — comparison is at the category level.

Co-founder matching platforms

Swipe-style, self-reported

  • Self-reported preferences, no measurement underneath
  • Optimised for finding someone — not for checking fit
  • Nothing to compare once you've met

Personality typing & strengths tests

Self-report inventories

  • A handful of labels from test-day answers
  • Results drift on retake
  • No native pair-comparison mode

Gut feel & long conversations

How most equity splits happen

  • Everyone's on best behaviour early
  • Blind spots stay invisible until under load
  • No shared language for the hard conversation

Founder questions, answered

Is this a personality test?

No. Personality tests rely on self-report — you answer questions about yourself and the test reflects your answers back. The 180-talent profile is calculated from birth data using a structured methodology. Same inputs, same outputs, always (r = 1.00 by construction). You can be honest, dishonest, or skip the optional questions — the talent profile doesn't change.

Is this a co-founder success forecast?

No. It's a structured input for one of the highest-stakes decisions a founder makes. Two founders with strong complementary profiles can still fail; two with friction surfaces can still succeed. The comparison shows you the talent-level picture — what you do with it is your call, and the decision stays yours.

What if we run the comparison and the result looks weak?

Weak synergy is a signal, not a verdict. It can mean role overlap (both builders, nobody operating) or a friction zone you can work around with structure. The AI report points at the specific surfaces — and the AI Mentor can help you think through whether they're workable.

Can I use this to decide whether to hire someone?

No. Innate Q is not validated for employment decisions. Don't use the profile, comparison, or synergy score for hiring, firing, promotion, or compensation. It's built for your own development and for thinking through partnership fit before equity is split.

Who can I compare my profile with?

Two options. The curated dataset holds 100+ public figures with well-documented public biographies — useful while you're still looking for a partner. Or compare with a real person — your potential co-founder — via consent code: both sides agree, either side can revoke at any time, and nobody's profile is visible without that handshake.

Is the Team tier really one-time?

Yes. $200 per profile, from 5 profiles, paid once. The profile and app access don't expire — they're yours for as long as the product exists. Subscriptions only cover ongoing Daily Insights generation, and extra AI Mentor requests are bought separately as needed — neither is required for the profile itself. Each member owns their personal profile; team views and comparisons are consent-based.

What if my co-founder thinks this is woo?

Show them the validation: 269 public figures, construct validity r ≈ 0.46 — within the range commonly seen for peer-rated personality instruments — and 82.5% wins against random baselines (p < 10⁻⁴⁰). The methodology is structured calculation, not a horoscope. And the comparison only runs if both of you consent — there's no way to run it on someone secretly.

What if I don't have an exact birth time?

Time of birth substantially improves precision on a subset of the 180 talents — though an inaccuracy of 5–10 minutes is usually not significant. Most people can find it on their birth certificate or hospital records. If exact time isn't available, the calculation still runs with reduced resolution on the affected talents. The Gold tier ($500) includes a birth-time rectification process to the exact minute.

How does Gold birth-time rectification work?

You'll complete an extensive questionnaire about life events, which our specialists then analyze manually within the suspected time window.

Before you split equity, run the fit check.

Thirty minutes of inputs. A full 180-talent profile for each founder. A side-by-side pair check. Then decide what to do with it.

Innate Q is a personal-development and self-knowledge tool. It is not validated for hiring, firing, promotion, termination, or any employment decision. It is not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or business advice. AI-generated commentary may contain inaccuracies. The 180-talent profile is a structured methodology output, not a prediction of venture outcome — use it as an input to your own judgment; decisions about partnership remain yours.
