Managing humans is not like managing tasks

The friction every people-manager runs into — and rarely gets a real tool for.

  1. Your best engineer is brilliant in code reviews and silent in retros — and you keep getting nothing useful when you ask why.

  2. A great individual contributor isn't always a great manager — and you found out too late, after a promotion that cost you a top performer and a team.

  3. Two strong people on your team quietly block each other — and you noticed half a year too late.

  4. Every team-building you've run produced a nice afternoon and zero change in how people actually work together.

  5. You're asked to nominate names for development conversations this quarter — and you have no shared language to ground your reasoning.

What you get

Five things we map for your team

Each starts from the same input: a 180-talent profile for every participant, computed from birth data. Everything below is delivered as analysis and recommendations — your decisions stay your own.

  1. 01

    Role-fit by innate predisposition

Each person's profile shows which kinds of roles their natural strengths support best — and where a current role works against the grain. Use it as the input to role and development conversations.

  2. 02

Team composition by synergy and coverage

Assemble teams where members amplify each other and the collective map has no blind zones — synergy between specific people weighed across all 180 talents and 16,000 possible pairings, plus completeness against the full talent map.

  3. 03

    Interaction and mutual-amplification recommendations

Per-pair guidance for how two specific people collaborate best: where they naturally strengthen each other, and where friction is by design rather than by fault.

  4. 04

    Leadership-potential mapping

Surface the people whose talent profiles point to leadership potential worth developing — for every leadership-development pool you run.

  5. 05

    Self-vs-colleague comparison

Compare your own profile with a colleague or your own manager: concrete recommendations for working together, amplifying each other, and avoiding the conflicts that aren't worth having.

Outstanding potential

A natural ability to transfer knowledge and develop others — explaining complex ideas clearly, adapting to the learner, and patiently guiding them through the path that took you years to find. Mentors at this level often shape entire careers around them.

Research validation

Validated against documented biographies of 269 public figures

Independent biographers ranked all 180 talents for 269 well-documented public figures. Innate Q's computed profile aligned with their ranking at a level within the range commonly seen for peer-rated and supervisor-rated personality instruments.

269
Public figures sampled

Each ranked across all 180 talents by independent biographer agents grounded strictly in published biographical literature.

r ≈ 0.46
Construct validity (adaptive)

Within the range commonly seen for peer-rated and supervisor-rated personality instruments in academic literature. Higher than self-IQ ↔ measured IQ (~0.35).

82.5%
Per-figure wins vs random

Innate Q's profile beat three random baselines per person. t = +17.04, p < 10⁻⁴⁰.

r = 1.00
Test-retest reliability

Deterministic by construction. The profile doesn't drift between Tuesday and Friday like a self-report instrument.

The validity findings summarised above are internal research findings.

Team synergy

The real Team Synergy view, in numbers

The Synergy Calculator weighs every pair of talents across your team — all 180 talents, 16,000 possible pairings, each significant pair with its own multiplier. Below: the same table format the app shows, with illustrative numbers.

Team member Synergy Talents 90+ 70–90 50–70
Team member 1 41.20 52 6 18 28
Team member 2 36.85 47 4 15 28
Team member 3 44.10 58 8 21 29
Team member 4 33.50 43 3 13 27
Team member 5 39.75 50 5 17 28
Team 57.40 115 of 180 13 36 66

Illustrative numbers in the app's real Team Synergy format. Overall team score on a 0–100+ scale; talent tiers: 90+ extraordinary, 70–90 outstanding, 50–70 strong.

Completeness & Harmony

The app's mandala view of the whole team: 16 petals — one per talent category — with each of the 180 talents a cell, stacked from the centre outwards. Coloured cells are talents your team covers; grey cells are the gaps nobody fills. Two nearly-empty petals here show what a structural gap looks like at a glance.

  • Gap — nobody covers it

Illustrative coverage. Your team's real mandala is built from consented profiles.

Synergy pairs, by name

Roughly 6,000 talent pairs carry a synergy multiplier. The Recommendations view explains every significant pair on your team — sorted highest to lowest — with advice for putting it to work. Three real pairs from the classification:

Strategic Thinking Strategic Planning
Super synergy
Planning Ambitious Goals Flawless Business Strategies

Effective Organization Effective Resource Management

Each member runs their own profile and shares an access code. The team view is built only from consented profiles.

AI Comparison

Compare your profile with a colleague, your manager, or a report

AI Comparison places two consented profiles side-by-side across all 180 talents, then writes a narrative on where you align, where you collide, and how to amplify each other. The colleague angle is built for three working relationships:

Equal to equal

With a peer

Where your strengths overlap and where they complement — and which friction points are structural rather than personal. Useful before joint projects and shared ownership.

They manage you

With your manager

How your profile meets your manager's: what they're naturally built to value, where you cover their blind zones, and how to make the working relationship easier for both sides.

You manage them

With a report

What a specific report is naturally built for, how your styles interact in 1:1s, what to delegate to them first — development framing for the conversations you already have.

Every comparison needs both sides' consent — profiles are shared by access code and either side can revoke at any time. A report's profile is theirs to share, or not.

How it works

From birth data to a team talent map

Four steps. Most teams have their full map within days of starting.

  1. Each member enters birth data

Date, time, and place of birth — about five minutes. Plus a life-context questionnaire: 8 core questions and 25 optional, essay-style. The optional part can be completed any time later.

  2. 180 talents + an AI profile per person

Deterministic 180-talent calculation — same input, same output. Then an AI-generated profile describing the person's potential and the role types that fit them best.

  3. Team analysis delivered

Team synergy weighed across all 180 talents and 16,000 possible pairings, completeness map, per-pair interaction recommendations, and leadership-potential mapping.

  4. Custom solutions on request

Team-composition calculator (who amplifies whom), a company-level AI Mentor over your whole talent map, per-department reports — configured to your request.

All insights are development inputs for human-led conversations — Innate Q does not make employment decisions.

AI Mentor

These are the questions you'll actually be asking

How do I give critical feedback to a report whose top talents are very different from mine?

My team's 1:1s feel formulaic. What should I change, given who I am as a manager?

One of my reports avoids visibility. How do I support their growth without forcing exposure that drains them?

I keep over-correcting in meetings. Which of my talents is driving that, and how do I rebalance?

How should I prepare for a hard conversation with someone whose work style is the opposite of mine?

What kind of team rituals would fit how I actually lead — not how I think I should lead?

Pre-loaded with your profile, ready 24/7

The AI Mentor already has your full 180-talent profile and your life-context answers loaded. You don't have to explain yourself first.

You bring the moment — a difficult conversation, a stretch assignment, a stuck pattern — and the Mentor brings prompts shaped by how you actually work.

  • Loaded with your full 180-talent profile
  • Answers people-management questions grounded in how you actually work
  • Persistent — your prompts and prior threads are remembered
  • Available 24/7 inside the app — no calendar, no booking
  • Built for reflection, never for evaluation

All profiles are personal: each team member owns their data and chooses what to share. Innate Q insights are development inputs — not a tool for hiring, promotion, or performance evaluation.

FAQ

What managers and companies ask us

Can we use this for hiring, promotion, or performance decisions?

No. Innate Q is a self-knowledge and team-development tool. It is not validated for hiring, promotion, or performance decisions and must not be used as the basis of any such decision. What it is built for: role-fit conversations, team composition, interaction recommendations, and development planning — with decisions made by people, not by the tool.

Does the team-composition calculator decide who works with whom?

No. It suggests compositions by talent synergy — an input for your own judgment. Managers review the suggestions, weigh everything the tool can't see (context, workload, goals), and make the call. Innate Q never makes or automates staffing decisions.

How does team onboarding work?

Each team member completes a 5-minute onboarding: date, time, and place of birth plus a short life-context questionnaire. Profiles are calculated within minutes. The team-level analysis — synergy, role-fit, interaction recommendations — is then delivered on top of the individual profiles.

Who sees whose profile?

Each member owns their personal profile. Sharing is consent-based — nobody's full profile is exposed to a manager or colleague without their agreement. Team-level deliverables are built on consented data.

What does the company actually receive?

Individual 180-talent profiles for each participant, plus team-level analysis delivered as reports: synergy maps, talent-coverage views, role-fit insights, per-pair interaction recommendations, and leadership-potential mapping. Custom formats — per-department reports, whole-company mapping — are available on request.

Do we need exact birth times for everyone?

Time of birth substantially improves precision on a subset of the 180 talents — though an inaccuracy of 5–10 minutes is usually not significant. Most people can find it on their birth certificate or hospital records. If a team member can't, their calculation still runs with reduced resolution on the affected talents.

What if someone doesn't want to participate?

Participation is voluntary by design. Innate Q profiles are personal property of each member — a team map is built from the people who opt in, and it works at any participation level.

How is this different from workplace assessments?

Workplace assessments are self-report questionnaires — answers shift with mood, framing, and what people want their employer to see. Innate Q computes 180 talents from birth data: nothing to game, identical re-test results by construction, and a development register rather than an evaluation one.

See your team the way you've never seen it
